ONE HUNDRED
This project was conceived to show the evolution of Baia’s classical line, traditionally characterized by
fast “Open Cruiser” models that combined a strong sports nature with internal and external layouts
made to guarantee top comfort.

The new 100’ is built to meet the RINA standards and is classified in the “Charter Class - Short Range”
to guarantee top operation and safety for passengers onboard with a particular attention to features
such as fire prevention system, stability and floatability.

The keel still features its peculiar shapes that favor propulsion with surface propellers coupled to
Arneson Drive systems, whilst maintaining easy handling and efficient performance even in rough sea.
Its heavier weight compared to the smaller keel creates a vessel that is more anchored to the water
surface enabling to slightly reduce the rising angles of the flat bottom, without producing severe
slamming effects. This feature results in more spacious areas inside the vessel. A flatter bottom also
reduces specific resistance above 35 knots, thus guaranteeing faster performances. However the
deadrise angle of 17 degrees amidship and of 13 degrees transom can still be considered as a rather
sharp V-keel.

Particular care was given to the type and shape of the hull’s resistant structure to create a single solid
body able to react uniformly and thoroughly to mechanical stress due to high speeds and collisions in
rough sea. An extensive use of sandwich structures in the sides and partly in the bottom planking
enable to further broaden the internal areas.
The hull lamination includes Kevlar hybrid fabrics and glass to ensure a highly robust structure and a
perfect resistance to the impacts localized on loose panels.
Onboard systems include technologically advanced solutions, ranking the vessel on top of the list of
the most innovative crafts both for the choice of instruments and materials used as well as for the type
of connections and supports. Everything was designed to ensure easy operation with almost no
maintenance, and simple handling.

Finally, particular attention was also given to onboard comfort, by carefully removing any noise and
vibrations transmitted through the structures and compartments. Partitioning walls have been
accurately insulated and floating floors minimize any possible trouble for the crew onboard under any
condition, either at sea or at anchor.
