5000 FLY
The Couach group signed its first contract for the construction of a 50 meter flagship at the end of December 2006. A head spinning project, with a full Kevlar-carbon composite structure, new MTU 5800 HP engines, a top speed of 30 knots, range of 400 miles and 500 m2 of living space.
The 5000 FLY will be both capable of crossing the Atlantic in 10 days and reaching unequaled speeds for a yacht of its size.
For the first time, a 50 meter yacht reunites the recognized advantages of composite construction – lightness, agility, speed, strength – and those of aluminum flagships – spacious, stability, sea comfort. A concentration of the best in all naval construction domains, this technological jewel incorporates innovative design and high technology equipment. A perfect designed “V” shaped hull, and an unquestionable construction process provide exceptional marine qualities, even on rough seas.
A new 4400 m2 shed on the Couah site will accommodate the construction of this new model. The launch of the Couach 5000 FLY is set for mid-2009.
