Baia shipyard hurried up with announcing the results of the first tests of its new model One Hundred which has never been displayed on boat shows. The 100-feet sports yacht has succeeded in developing a cruising speed of 41 knots and its top speed is expected to be 44 knots. This information refers to the version with two less powerful engines. We can just imagine how lightning the speed of the Italian “lady” will be in its version with three engines or two but more powerful ones of type MTU. Regarding the version having two more powerful engines MTU, the company Arneson has been working out and it will deliver its most powerful drive until now. It will have platinum components.
Considering the version having three powerful aggregates, an automatic system for pitch propellers control worked out also by Arneson will be used for the first time. It is analogous to the co-working out of MTU and Frans Hellise but it belongs to a new improved generation. The price of this model has not been officially announced yet but it is expected to be in the range of 30-metres yachts, that is over 7 000 000 euro.
