The first 50-meter yacht Couach is coming in 2009
The new 2009 will be historic for the world’s famous manufacturer of luxury marine yachts COUACH. The French shipyard, which has cultivated its exceptional know-how for over 100 years of naval construction, will launch its first 50-meter model in the middle of 2009. Hull №1 of Couach 5000 Fly was contracted in December 2006. This superyacht is a real head turner: 500 sq.m. living space, five cabins de luxe, fitness gym, a helipad for five-seated helicopter, king-size Jacuzzi (dimensions 3,5 x 2m) and capacious garage accommodating three tenders, two jets and a life-boat.
The new generation engines MTU 5240HP hit a top speed of over 30 knots - unequalled by any other yacht of this dimension. If the cruising speed of 12 knots is kept during a voyage, the yacht is autonomous for 4000 miles. That explains how 5000 Fly crosses the Atlantic in 10 days with no extra refueling.
Entirely built in Kevlar fibre, the hull and the deckhouse are more rigid, more solid and lighter than expected. This Kevlar/Aramid is practically unbreakable. All other Couach models benefit from the composite implementation. The new 50-meter flagship features cosmic technologies and the latest engineering achievements. For the first time ever, the advantages of a composite construction – light, easy to handle, fast, sturdy, spacious, stable, comfortable - are brought together in a 50-metre yacht. With its remarkable seaworthiness at any speed in all sea conditions 5000 Fly will have a perfect passage at sea thanks to her high performance deep V-shaped hull.
